Branding Descriptions
Pad Printing
- Can print on convex, concave, curved, recessed and discontinuous surfaces allowing product designers a substantially broader range of shapes and designs.
- Is capable of 90 degree wraparound on three-dimensional objects.
- Offers better edge definition and higher resolution than most other printing systems therefore offering a method of decorating high quality high priced items.
- Up to 7 spot colours on suitable products.
Embroidery
- Premium and long wearing method of branding fabric products such as; clothing, hats and bags.
- Cost varies depending on the stitch count, (increases with size of design), and number of colours making up the design.
- Confirmation of embroidery charges will be made once the Artwork has been forwarded to Imprint Promotional Merchandise.
Laser Engraving
- The practice of using lasers to engrave an object, achieving very precise and clean design markings.
- Lasers are generally controlled by computer programmed design
- Many products are specially designed for laser technique, enabling base colours to be exposed as part of the design.
- Materials that may be suitable for laser are; Woods, Plastics, Metals, Stone and Glass
Screen Printing or Silk Printing
- Commonly used to transfer images of up to 4 spot colours on T-Shirts, hats, bags and lanyards.
- Highly effective for branding solid flat items such as CD's, DVD's ceramics, glass....
- Registration limitations exist for fine detail printing. Should your artwork be required to be modified to meet registration requirements you will be advised.
Decal
- Decal or transfer is a method of decoration where an image is transferred on contact from a substrate to the item to be decorated. Heat, (firing), is then used to bind the image.
- Hardwearing decoration choice for mugs and glasses.
- Up to 4 colour spot transfer or sublimation images can be used.
Plastisol Transfer
- Method of branding where prepared images are transferred to the product under heat.
- Popular method on caps and bags or when fine detail is required.
Foil Stamping or Embossing
- High quality branding used on leather and leather look items.
- Uses heat and pressure to transfer and emboss the image.
- Traditionally seen in gold and silver, but is available in most colours and also multi colour foils.
Offset Printing
- Traditional printing method for high volume items. Producing consistent high quality and economical results.
